복음주의 자유교회는 다음의 신학적 확신으로 연합된 자치교회들의 연합이다.

The Evangelical Free Church of America is an association of autonomous churches united around these theological convictions:

 

-하나님-

 

우리는 한 하나님을 믿는다. 그는 모든 것의 창조주 이시며, 거룩하시고, 무한히 완전하시고 그리고 사랑의 연합 안에서 아버지, 아들, 성령, 동등한 세 신적인 인격 으로 영원히 존재하시는 분이시다. 무한한 지식과 주권적인 능력을 가지신 하나님은 자신을 위해 영원 부터 사람을 구속하는 것과  그의 영광을 위해 모든 것을새롭게 만들기 위한 은혜로우신 목적을 가지고 계셨다.

-God-

1. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.

 

 

 -성경-

 

우리는 하나님께서 인간 저자들의 언어로 표현된 성경을 통해, 즉 구약과 신약 안에서 말씀하심을 믿는다. 축자적으로 영감된 하나님의 말씀인 성경은 원전에 있어서 오류가 없으며, 우리의 구원을 위한 하나님의 뜻의 완전한 계시이며, 모든 인간의 지식과 노력은 최종적인 권위를 가지고 있는 성경에 의해 판단을 받아야한다.

-The Bible-

We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.

 

                          

-인간의 상태-

 

우리는 하나님께서 그의 형상을 따라 아담과 하와를 창조하셨으나 그들이 사단에 의해 유혹을 받아 죄를 지었음을 믿는다. 아담과 연합이된 인간은 자연적으로 그리고 선택에 의해 죄를 지었으며 하나님과 분리가 되었고 하나님의 진노아래 있게되었다. 오직 예수 그리스도를 통한 하나님의 구원의 역사를 통해서만이 우리가 구원 받을 수있고 하나님과 화해 될 수 있으며 새롭게될 수 있다.

-The Human Condition-

We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.

 

-예수 그리스도-

 

우리는 예수 그리스도는 인간으로 오신 하나님으로, 완전한 하나님이요 완전한 인간이며, 두 본성(two natures)을 가진 한 인격(one Person) 이심을 믿는다. 이스라엘의 약속된 메시아인 예수님은 성령에 의해 잉태되시고 동정녀 마리아에게서 나셨다. 그는 죄없는 삶을 사셨고 본디오 빌라도에 의해 십자가에 못밖혔으며 죽음으로 부터 육체로 부활하셨으며 하늘에 오르셔서 우리의 대제사장과 중보자로서 아버지 하나님의 오른 편에 앉아 계신다.

-Jesus Christ-

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus-Israel’s promised Messiah-was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

 

-그리스도의 일-

 

우리는 우리의 대표자와 대리자서의 예수 그리스도는 십자가에서 우리 죄를 위한 완전하고 충족한  속죄 제물로서 피를 흘리셨음을 믿는다. 그의 대속의 죽음과 승리의 부활은 우리의 구원을 위한 유일한 기초가  된다.

-The Work of Christ-

We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.

 

 -성령님-

 

우리는 성령의 주된 기능은 주 예수 그리스도를 영화롭게 하시는 것임을 믿는다. 그는 세상의 죄에 대해 책망하신다. 성령님은 죄인을 거듭나게하시며 그 안에서 예수님과 연합되어 세례를 받고 양자가 되는데 하나님의 가족의 일원으로 상속자가 된다. 그는 또한 성도들로하여금 그리스도와 닮은 삶을 살게하고 봉사를 위해서 그들안에 거하시고 조명하시고 인도하시며 능력을 주신다.

-The Holy Spirit-

 We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.

 

-교회-

 

우리는 진실된 교회는 오직 예수 그리스도 안에서 믿음을 통해 하나님의 은혜에 의해서 의롭다함을 받은 모든자들로 구성됨을 믿는다. 그들은 예수 그리스도의 몸 안에서 성령에 의해서 연합 되었는데 예수 그리스도는 그몸의 머리가 되신다. 진실된 교회는 지역 교회들 안에서 나타나게 되는데 그 지역 교회의 회원들은 오직 믿는 자들로 구성되어져야한다. 주 예수 께서는 두 예식을  명령 하셨는데 그것은 세례와 성찬이다.  이 예식들은 시각적으로 그리고 실체적으로 복음을 표현한다. 비록 이 예식들은 구원의 의미로 받아들이지 않지만  진정한 믿음안에서 교회에 의해 집전될때 이 예식들은 믿는자들에게 확신을 주고 영적으로 강건케한다.

-The Church-

We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith, these ordinances confirm and nourish the believer.

 

-그리스도인의 삶-

 

우리는 하나님의 의롭다하심의 은혜는 그의 성화의 능력과 목적으로부터 분리하지 않아야 한다는 것을 믿는다. 하나님은 우리에게 하나님을 최고로 사랑하고 다른이들을 희생적으로 사랑하며, 다른 사람을 돌보는 믿음의 삶을 살며, 가난한 자와 억압받는 자들을 긍휼히 여기라고 명령하셨다. 하나님의 말씀과 성령님의 능력 그리고 그리스도의 이름으로 강력한 기도에 의해 우리는 악의 세력과 영적 전투를 하게되어있다. 그리스도의 명령에 순종함으로 우리는 모든 민족으로 제자를 삼고 항상 말씀과 행동을 통해  복음의 증인으로서의 삶을 살게되어있다.

-Christian Living-

 We believe that God’s justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.

     

-그리스도의 재림-

 

우리는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 인격적, 육체적 그리고 영광스러운 재림을 믿는다. 그리스도의 재림은, 오직 그 때를 하나님만 아심으로 계속적인 기대를 요구하며 그리고 우리의 복된 소망이 됨으로 믿는 자들에게 경건한 삶과 헌신적인 봉사 그리고 활기 있는 선교에 대한 동기를 부여한다

-Christ’s Return-

We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.

 -응답과 영원한 운명-

 

우리는 하나님께서 누구에게나  그리고 어디에있든지 회개하고 예수 그리스도를 받아들임으로 하나님께로 돌아서는 복음을 믿으라고 명하신다는 것을 믿는다. 우리는 하나님께서 죽은 몸을 일으키실 것이고 세상을 심판하시며 믿지 않는자에게는 정죄와 영원한 자각의 (conscious)형벌을 내리실 것이며, 믿는자에게는 영원한 축복과 주님과 함께 새 하늘과 새 땅에서 영원한 기쁨을 누릴 것이며 그의 영광스러운 은혜를 찬양할 것이다. 아멘.

-Response and Eternal Destiny-

We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace.
